Candelaria de Santa Ines Our most notable producing broodmare, Candelaria de Santa Ines, comes from the outstanding broodmare sire, Amadeus de Resorte IV out of a Candelazo daughter. Candelazo brings the blood of Pistolero, linking Candelaria to our patrimony. I had admired Candelaria from the first time I saw her at Spectrum 1998, and we were very blessed to add her to our breeding program in 1999. By that time, she already had a filly by Vitral, Electra de la Rosa, who is a fino mare in The Dominican Republic. Her second filly by Torbellino de la Sierra was sold to Switzerland and is another exceptional filly. Her next colt, Moises del Eden, by Insolito de la Luisa is an extraordinary pleasure gelding and is owned by Cecilia and John Uhlmann of Deleware. Moises was the 2005 3d National Champion 3yo Pleasure Gelding and the 6th National Champion 3yo A/O Pleasure Gelding. Candelaria's next filly, Carrera del Eden is under saddle and is available for purchase on our sales list. Candelaria was leased by United Paso Fino Show Horses and had a jet black colt by their Patrimonio son, Mandato de La Luisa in 2006. In late June 07, Candy had a fantastic filly by Mandato. All of Candelaria's offspring possess wonderful hocks and rear drive with very natural collected gait and quickness. All have long upright necks, proud carriage, wonderful disposition and excellent brios. She is consistently producing the type we strive for and always better than herself. Candelaria has been sold and leaves for her new home in England in fall 2007 |
